Accident Involves Daily Times Delivery Truckdailytimes1.jpg (63637 bytes)

Springfield Fire Company responded to an accident involving a Daily Times Delivery Truck and a U-Haul Truck early Wednesday morning.   The Company was dispatched around 03:30 hours to the intersection of East Springfield Road and Norwinden Drive for a Motor Vehicle Accident.  Upon arrival of 44-9B and TAC 44, firefighters assisted Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital Paramedic) in treating the driver of the Daily Times delivery truck.dailytimes2.jpg (75696 bytes)

The force of the accident caused the load of papers in the truck to shift forward and through the windshield of the vehicle.  The driver was unconscious, but regained consciousness prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.

The driver of a U-Haul truck did not require medical attention.  Springfield Ambulance and Medic 106 transported the injured driver to Crozer Chester Medical Center.  TAC 44 provided lighting at the scene for the Police Department and remained at the scene until the accident was cleared.
