Springfield Fire Company was dispatched Wednesday morning at 01:59 hours for a Motor Vehicle Accident with Entrapment on West Springfield Road near Saxer Avenue.  Springfield Police were the first on the scene, reporting the accident to be in the 100 Block of West Springfield Road and that they had one person trapped in the car.

The vehicle apparently lost control while heading east bound on Springfield Road.  The vehicle struck a street sign, grazed off of one tree and struck a second tree on the property of the Church of the Redeemer.

Units operating at the scene were: TAC-44, Rescue 44, 44-7A, Medic 106, Springfield Police and Springfield Fire Police.  Units remained on the scene until 02:59 hours.
