Remodeling Complete

The remodeling project within the firehouse is complete.   The first and second floor were finished in early May.  The second floor remodeling included a new training office, moving the physical fitness and sleeping quarters to different rooms to provide more room where needed and to use the space more effeciently.  Other offices and hallways received a fresh coat of paint..

The first floor remodeling involved removal of the old kitchen and installation of new cabinets and appliances.  The crew room was recarpeted and painted and all hallways received a fresh coat of paint.  The members have already put the new renovations to good use.

The only project left on the schedule is the installation of new apparatus bay doors.  That project is expected to be finished by early June.   The citizens of Springfield will be able to view all this work when the Fire Company holds to annual Open House in October.
