1999 DINNER DANCE
The Annual Dinner Dance of the Springfield Fire Company was held at the Columbus Club on Saturday, April 17, 1999. The event was a special occasion, remembering the past year and what the Springfield Fire Company had accomplished and looking forward to all that 1999 has in store for the Company. With over 130 people in attendance, from Company members, wives and girlfriends, local and state elected officials and surrounding Fire Company representatives, the evening was enjoyed by everyone. The Chairman of the Banquet, Dave Osciak, was commended for another fine job in organizing the occasion.
The Annual Dinner is where the Fire Company honors it members for another fine year of service to the citizens of Springfield Township and surrounding communities. Awards are handed out every year to honor those members who continue to make Springfield Fire Company one of the best. The awards are as follows:
High School Award (To be presented at Graduation to a High School Senior that has shown continued dedication to their activity in Springfield Fire Company and their Grades in School)

Life Membership Awards (20 years of Service or Meritorious Service to Springfield Fire Company and has received their Service Award)

Presidents Awards (Presented by the Fire Company President to an individual that has shown outstanding service to the Executive Operations of the Springfield Fire Company)

Firefighter of the Year Award (Presented by the Chief Officers to an Active Firefighter that has shown outstanding service to the Fire Operations of Springfield Fire Company)

Special Award - Presented to Keith Thomas for his years of dedication to Springfield Fire Company and for his service as Assistant Chief for the last ten years. Keith decided not to run for Assistant Chief last year due to other commitments with family, work and school. He is still an active firefighter and driver with the Company.
