Engine 44-2 is the third responding apparatus on all structure fires in Springfield Township.  Delivered along with Engine 44-4 in 1984, this piece of equipment had its crew cab totally enclosed during 1992.  This was done for the safety of the firefighters responding on the apparatus.   Some of the features of the unit are:

1500 GPM Hale Mid-Ship Single Stage Pump, 500 Gallon Water Tank, 6 Person Crew Cab, Front Suction / Intake, Hard Suction Hoses for Drafting, 6 Kilowatt Generator, 28' Extension Ladder, 14' Ground / Roof Ladder, 8' Folding / Attic Ladder, 1500' 5" Supply Hose, 500'  3 1/2" Supply Hose, 300' 1 3/4" Preconnected Crosslay Hoseline, 100' 1 3/4" Preconnected Crosslay Hoseline, 2 - 250' 1" Booster Hoseline
