Corvette Consumed by Fire

 

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Tuesday, April 24th, at 07:42 hours to West Springfield Road and Eagle Road for a Vehicle Fire.  Upon arrival of Chief 44-9, one vehicle was fully involved in fire in the parking lot of the Linda Court Apartments which are located within Marple Township.  Chief 44-9 had TAC 44 go into service with an 1 3/4" hose line and had Fireboard dispatched Company 53 (Broomall) with the call being located in Marple Township.

TAC 44 arrived on location and placed an 1 3/4" hose line in service and quickly contained the fire.  The vehicle involved, a Corvette, was totally destroyed by the fire.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 08:12 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Springfield Police, Marple Township Police, Chief 53-9B and Fire Police
