The Springfield Fire Company conducted the weekly Tuesday night training, reviewing and practicing numerous Vehicle Rescue Training (VRT) techniques. Firefighters, under the direction of the Line Offiers, set-up the Holmatro rescue tools in the parking lot of the Firehouse and practiced serveral evolutions on extricating a trapped subject in a donated vehicle.
Any residents looking to dispose of older model vehicles that may not be in good mechanical condition can e-mail Springfield Fire Company. The vehicles can be used for training by the Company to keep members skills levels ready for the many accidents that Springfield Fire Company responds on throughout the year.
