Smoking Spotlight at the High School

MFS
While clearing a minor motor vehicle accident at South State Road and Collins Drive on Friday, December 30th, Squad 44 was dispatched and responded to the Investigation of a possible electrical fire outside of Springfield High School.  County 911 had received a 911 call of smoke in the area of the flag pole to the rear of the High School.

Chief 44-9A arrived on location along with Squad 44 and investigated the area.  The cause of the smoke was debris that had come in contact with a spotlight used for the flag pole.  Firefighters cleared the debris and checked for any other hazards involving the electrical equipment.
