Rescue 44 Responds to the Dwelling Fire in Brookhaven

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Monday, December 21st,  for the RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) to the 3400 Block of Victor Avenue, Brookhaven Borough, for the Dwelling Fire.  Firefighters from Company 52 (Brookhaven) and surrounding departments were working on the scene of a 1 1/2 story single family home with fire throughout the structure.

Rescue 44 responded with 6 members and upon arriving on the scene, staged all RIT equipment in the rear of the dwelling and stood by along with the RIT from Company 63 (Green Ridge).  Firefighters monitored the rear of the dwelling while fire crews were sent into the structure to extinguish hot spots.  Firefighters stood by on the scene for 90 minutes before being released by Company 52 Command.

Springfield Firefighters cleared the scene at 13:00 hours.
