TAC 44 Sold to Pineville, LA

While Springfield Firefighters were operating on the scene of a two alarm house fire in Lansdowne Borough, other members of the Company and Springfield Township Fireman's Relief Association were completing the sale of TAC 44 (1999 Sutphen) to the Pineville Fire Department, Pineville, Louisiana.
Two representatives from Pineville along with a salesman from Firetek visited the firehouse Friday morning, December 19th, to look over TAC 44 and to make an offer to purchase the apparatus. An offer was accepted and the paperwork was completed to transfer the title over to the City of Pineville. One member from Pineville was given training on the operation of the apparatus before leaving Station 44 with their newly purchased truck.
The replacement truck for TAC 44 is scheduled to be delivered in May, 2009. Engine 44-4 has been equipped to handle all calls in the place of TAC 44 during this time period.
Springfield Fire Company would like to congratulate the Pineville Fire Department on the newest addition to their apparatus fleet and wish them the best with TAC 44.
