Engine 44-2 - 1984 Sutphen Sold

Springfield Fire Company completed the sale of Engine 44-2, the 1984 Sutphen, on Thursday, December 18th. Adirondack Fire completed the agreement of sale between Springfield Township and the Higbee Fire Proection District, Higbee, Missouri. Adirondack Fire arranged for delivery of the fire apparatus to the new owner.
The apparatus was loaded onto a low ride tractor trailer Thursday morning for delivery to its new home in Higbee, Missouri. The new owners plan to keep the maroon color and hope to have the apparatus in service in the Higbee Fire Protection District within one week.
Springfield Fire Company would like wish the Higbee Fire Protection District the very best with their newest addition to the apparatus fleet. Engine 44-2 (1984 Sutphen) officially out of service with Springfield Fire Company on December 18th, 2008.
