Springfield Fire Company was dispatched just after midnight on Tuesday, December 9th, to 801 Baltimore Pike, Exxon Gas Station, for a Vehicle Fire.  Upon arrival of Police and TAC 44, one pick up truck was well involved in fire and was approximately 15 feet from the gas pumps at the Station.

Firefighters from TAC 44 placed an 1 3/4" hose line into service to quickly gain control of the vehicle fire and also to protect the exposed gas pumps.  No damage was sustained to the Gas Station, but the vehicle was a total loss.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 01:00 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Ambulance 44-7, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
