Accident with Entrapment on I-476
On Saturday, November 26th, the Springfield Fire Company was dispatched along with Company 53 (Broomall) to the South Bound ramp of I-476 for a MVA with Entrapment.  A single vehicle had flipped over and entrapped the driver, after they lost control of the vehicle and struck a guiderail at the exit ramp to Exit 5.  Chief 53-9 assumed command and 44-9A was the Rescue Officer.  Rescue personnel from Company 44, as well as Company 53, stabilized the vehicle and extricated the driver.

Units on Scene: Squad 44, Rescue 44, Engine 44-4, Rescue 53, Engine 53-2, Medic 106, Medic 53, Ambulance 53-7, Ambulance 44-7 (Springfield Ambulance) and Pennsylvania State Police.
