Dwelling Fire in Broomall

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on the Box Alarm assignment to the 2100 Block of MacLarie Lane, Marple Township, on Thursday, November 4th, at 1526 hours to assist Company 53 (Broomall) for the Dwelling Fire.  Chief 44-9B arrived on location and reported a 1 story dwelling with smoke showing from Side C of the home.

Chief 53-9 arrived on the scene and established Command and had Firefighters from Quint 53 stretch an 1 3/4" hose line while Firefighters from Tower 44 assisted with laddering the structure and checking the roof.

The fire was contained to a small area in the roof soffit on the rear of the dwelling.  Firefighters checked the interior of the residence for any possible fire extension and ventilated the dwelling.

Companies operating on the scene were:  Company 53, Company 44, Company 14 (RIT), Ambulance 44-7, Ambulance  and Medic 53 and Marple Township Police.

Springfield Firefighters remained on the scene until 1626 hours.
