Trolley Strikes Car at Scenic Road Crossing

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Wednesday, October 15th, to Scenic Road at the Septa Route 101 Trolley stop for a Motor Vehicle Accident involving a Septa Trolley.  Upon arrival of Springfield Police and TAC 44, one vehicle was on the side of the road near the trolley stop with damage to the driver's side of the vehicle.

The vehicle had been struck by a Westbound Route 101 trolley.  The driver managed to exit the vehicle prior to the arrival of emergency responders.  EMS crews from Ambulance 44-7 and Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital) evaluated and transported the driver to the hospital .  No passengers riding on the trolley was injured during the incident.

Springfield firefighters checked the vehicle and trolley for hazards and assisted EMS crews.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106, Springfield Police and FIre Police and Septa representatives.
