Two Alarm House Fire in Broomall

Springfield Fire company was dispatched on Tuesday, September 15th, at 11:56 hours, on the Second Alarm Assignment for the Working Dwelling Fire at 202 Lindbergh Avenue in Marple Township.  Firefighters from Company 53 (Broomall), Company 56 (Manoa) and Company 35 (Brookline) were battling a fire in a two story single family dwelling.

Engine 44-1 and Tower 44 assisted on the scene with manpower.  Due to heavy fire conditions in the basement area of the home and with fire spreading throughout the structure, firefighters were ordered out of the residence and a defensive operation was conducted.  Firefighters worked for over two hours to gain control of the fire.

Springfield Firefighters remained on the scene until 14:56 hours.
