Five Car Accident on State Road

| Springfield Firefighters responded to a five car Motor Vehicle Accident on State Road at West Springfield Road on Monday, August 24th at 18:29 hours. Upon arrival of first responders, there was a five car accident in the Southbound lanes of State Road (Route 1) and a private ambulance company crew was evaluating one injured driver.
Engine 44-4 arrived on location, checked all vehicles and assisted EMS personnel from Ambulance 44-7 and Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital). Only one occupant of all five vehicles required medical attention.
Firefighters remained on the scene until 18:59 hours.
Units operating on the scene were: Engine 44-4, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
