Car Fire on Baltimore Pike

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Monday, July 27th, at 17:34 hours to the 1200 block of Baltimore Pike for a Vehicle Fire.  Upon arrival of Chief 44-9, fire was showing from the engine compartment of a minivan in front of the Springfield Mall on Baltimore Pike.

Engine 44-4 arrived on location and placed an 1 3/4" hose line into service.  Engine 44-1 arrived and assisted Firefighters from Engine 44-4 with extinguishment.  Firefighters had the fire under control within 5 minutes.

Firefighters remained on the scene until the vehicle was removed from the roadway.

Units operatiing on the scene were:  Engine 44-4, Engine 44-1, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
