| On Tuesday, July 19th, Springfield Firefighters participated in a training exercise at Station 44. Training Sessions (Drills) are held on a weekly basis during most of the year and the topic for this drill was Sprinkler Systems.
Members discussed types of systems, proper functions and some different issues run into by members on previous incidents. Firefighters then had a chance to get some hands-on training while cooling off with shutting down an activated sprinkler head using the training prop in the rear of the firehouse.
This drill is so much easier to run when the temperatures are over 90 degrees.
