Cover Assignment and a Building Fire

| On Firday, July 15th, from 0900-1400 hours Company 44 members staffed Squad 44 on a Cover Assignment to Station 19 (Lansdowne), while our Brother Firefighters attended the funeral of long time Lansdowne Fire Company member Tom MacDonald Sr.
While on the Stand-by, Squad 44-19 with Company 16 (Yeadon) were dispatched at 1130 hours for a Building Fire on South Wycombe Avenue. Squad 44 arrived on location to find a three story single family dwelling with nothing showing. Contractors on location reported an electrical box to the exterior of the bldg was sparking. Chief 16-9 arrived and had Comannd.
Firefighters from Squad 44 & Ladder 16 investigated Chief 16-9 placed the situation under control. Firefighters were on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
Squad 44 returned to Station 19 and had a quiet afternoon with no runs.
