Vehicle Fire at the Springfield Mall
The Springfield Fire Company responded to the report of a vehivle fire at the Springfield Mall on Wednesday, June 29th, at 1415 hours.  Chief 44-9 arrived on location to find a vehicle with an engine compartment well involved.  Firefighters from Squad 44 extinguised the fire with an 1 3/4" hose line  assisted by Firefighters from Engine 44-4.  Company 44 was back in service after a half hour of operation on scene.
