On Friday, June 3rd, Springfield Fire Company was dispatched to Assist Company 73 (Rose Tree) in the 500 Block of Rosemary Circle, Upper Providence Township for a Building Fire.

Company 73, Company 23 (Media), Company 41 for the RIT (Newtown Square), Company 69 (Lima) and Medic 23 (Riddle Hospital) were dispatched as the First Alarm Box assignment for a reported Dwelling Fire at 1833 hours.

Chief 73-9 arrived and reported a working fire on Division 1 of a two story dwelling.  Firefighters from Quint 73 attacked the fire on Division 1 while Firefighters from Squrt 23 went to Division 2 to check for fire extension.

During the fire, water supply problems were encountered due to a broken water main. Company 44 (Springfield) and Company 53 (Broomall) were special called to provide an additional water supply into the scene.

Investigation of the fire is being handled by the Upper Providence Township Fire Marshal.  Firefighters from Springfield assisted on the fireground until 2030 hours.
