Springfield Fire Company participated in the annual Springfield Township Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 31st. The parade is hosted by Springfield VFW Post #5705. The parade pays tribute to Veterans past and present. Memorial services are held at Veteran's Memorial Park, St. Francis of Assisi, Old Central School and Springfield's Township Building during the parade to recognize the Memorial's honoring Springfield Township residents who gave the supreme sacrifice while serving our country.
Springfield Fire Company participated with 44-8C, Utility 44, Engine 44-3, Squad 44, Engine 44-1, Engine 44-4, and Rescue 44. Parade goers did not see Tower 44 this year during most of the parade due to Tower 44 being called to an emergency in Upper Providence Township at the beginning of the parade. Springfield Fire Police assisted with traffic control during the parade.
Springfield Fire Company would like thank all our service men and women who are currently serving in our Armed Forces and all those who gave of the lives in the name of Freedom.
