Benefit for Fire/EMS and Police LODD Memorials and Survivers
|
Emergency Services personnel from Fire and EMS Department and Police Departments from around Delaware County joined forces on Sunday, May 31, at the Springfield County Club for a common cause. Raising money for the Fallen Firefighter/EMS Memorial and the Law Enforcement Memorial at Rose Tree Park. Both organizations are also raising fund to be able to assist the families of survivors if a line of duty death occurs again within Delaware County.
Tower 44 and Tower 34 (Llanarch) provided an arch at the entrance to Springfiel County Club to honor all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice protecting the citizens of Delaware County.
The benefit featured the fabulous Greaseband which entertained the crowd from 2pm to 6pm. Live auctions, chinese auctions and other fund raising events were held throughout the afternoon lasting well over 4 hours.
All the organizers from both organizations were proud of the great showing by the Emergency Services Community and all the citizens of Delaware County that supported the event. They hope to make this an annual event.
