From a Fire Alarm to a Vehicle Into the Building

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Monday, May 17th, at 1035 hours to 20 East Woodland Avenue, Ricky's Convenient Store, for a Fire Alarm.  Engine 44-1, while en route to the scene, was advised by County 911 that they were getting calls for a vehicle into the building at the same location with the driver still trapped inside the vehicle.

Springfield Township's Code Enforcement Department was on scene to evaluate the stability and safety of the building.

Firefighters stood by until 1135 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  Engine 44-1, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106, Springfield Police, Fire Police and Code Enforcement Department.
