Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Friday, May 1st at 12:03 hours to provide stand by coverage at Collingdale Fire Company #1 (Station 06) while they operated at a 2 alarm house fire in Darby Borough.  Engine 44-4 arrived at Station 06 for the cover-up assignment, only to be redirected on the 3rd alarm assignment to assist on the fireground at 313 Darby Terrace, Darby Borough.

Firefighters from Engine 44-4 provided additional manpower and equipment on the scene.  Firefighters were battling a fire in a two story middle of the row dwelling that had spread to three other houses on either side of the original fire dwelling.

Springfield Firefighters assisted on the fireground for over 2 hours before being released from the scene.
