VFW Post #5705 Loyalty Day Awards

Springfield Fire Company attended the annual Loyalty Day ceremony hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Springfield-Delco Post #5705 on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 at the Township Building. The VFW each year honors a member from the Fire Company as Firefighter of the Year, one member from the Police Department as Police Officer of the Year and one member from the Ambulance Corps as EMT of the Year.
Engineer John "Jake" Hackett was recognized as the Firefighter of the Year for Springfield Fire Company. Engineer Hackett has been active for over 46 years with Springfield Fire Company and as held different positions within the Fire Company during that time. Springfield Fire Company congratulates Engineer Hackett on receiving the VFW Post #5705 Firefighter of the Year award for 2009.
