Odor Investigation at Shopping and Office Complex
Springfield Fire Company was dispatched at 1341 hours on Friday, April 15th, to 1001 Baltimore Pike, Springfield Square South for the report of a sulfur odor on the third floor. Upon arrival of 44-9, the building had already been evacuated and workers were reporting a sulfur smell on the third floor. Firefighters from Engine 44-1 investigated the third floor with air monitoring equipment. No detectable gases were found on the third floor by Firefighters and workers were able to return to the building. Company 44 was back in service at 1411 hours.
