Pick-up Truck Loses Control on Wet Road

Springfield Fire Company responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident on Saturday, April 11th at 08:57 hours in the 400 Block of North Bishop Avenue.  Springfield Police and Engine 44-4 arrived on location to find a pick-up that had lost control on the wet roads and crashed in an unoccupied SUV parked in the driveway of a home on North Bishop Avenue.  Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and checked the driver for injuries.

Firefighters assisted personnel from Medic 106 and Ambulance 44-7 with moving the driver of the pick-up truck to the ambulance.  EMS personnel transported the driver to hospital with minor injuries.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 09:27 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  Engine 44-4, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
