On Tuesday, March 8th at 2230 hours, Springfield Fire Company was dispatched to the 700 Block of Buttonwood Drive for a Builiding Fire. Chief 44-9 (Woolson) arrived on location with an oven fire that was extinguished by the homeowner, with a smoke condition inside. The oven fire was handled by Firefighters from Engine 44-1 and ventilation fans were set-up to remove the smoke from the residence. Ambulance 44-7 and Medic 106 evaluated the homeowner for smoke inhalation.
