Vehicle Crashes into State Store

On Friday, March 5th, at 16:23 hours, Springfield Fire Company was dispatched to 149 Baltimore Pike for a Vehicle into the Building.  Upon arrival of Chief 44-9 and Squad 44 there was one vehicle that had crashed thru a front window of the Wine and Spirits Store.  Firefighters assessed the scene and had the driver of the vehicle still inside the car and appeared unharmed by the accident.

Firefighters from Squad 44, along with EMS personnel from Ambulance 44-7 and Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital) checked the driver for injuries and then removed the subject from the vehicle.  Firefighters secured the scene and stood by until the vehicle was removed from the store.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 17:08 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  Squad 44, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
