Small Fire Contained at Industrial Complex

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on the Box Alarm assignment on Sunday, February 27th, at 1802 hours to the 500 Block of HIghland Avenue, Morton Borough, for the Commercial Building Fire.  As Firefighters from, Company 44, Company 13 (Morton-Rutledge), Company 14 (Swarthmore), Company 43 (Holmes), Company 08 (Prospect Park - RIT) and Company 45 (Parkside-RIT) responded, smoke was showing from one building inside the Industrial Complex.

Firefighters from Engine 44-4 assisted Firefighters from Company 13 with the initial attack line.  Firefighters were able to contain the fire to a portion of the building where the fire originated.  Firefighters remained on the scene for about an hour.

Springfield Fire Company was released by Company 13 Command and returned to service at 1902 hours.
