Defective Heater Fills Home with Smoke
On Sunday, February 12th, Springfield Fire Company assisted Swarthmore Fire Company (Company 14) on the report of a Building Fire in the 400 block of Dickinson Avenue, Swarthmore Borough, at 0856 hours.

Chief 14-9A arrived on location reporting smoke showing.  Upon further investigation, a malfunctioning oil burner left the dwelling full of smoke.  Firefighters from Companies 14, 44 and 13 (Morton/Rutledge) assisted with ventilating the dwelling.
All companies cleared the scene at 0926 hours.

Companies operating at the scene: Company 14, 13, 44, RIT 53 (Broomall) and Medic 102, Swarthmore Police and Fire Police.
