Pedestrian Trapped Under Trolley

The Springfield Fire Company was dispatched at 0419 hours on Saturday, February 11th, to assist Clifton Heights Fire Company (Company 03) for a person hit by a Septa Route 102 trolley.  Firefighters were tasked with extricating the subject who was trapped beneath the trolley car.

Rescue 44, Squad 44 and Utility 44 responded to the scene to assist Rescue 19 (Lansdowne) and Rescue 20 (Garrettford-Drexel Hill) with extra equipment to help stabilize the trolley.

Firefighters and Septa employees worked together to free the victim from under the trolley.  The victim was transported to HUP with various injuries.
