Busy Day for Fire Company
On Wednesday, February 2nd, Springfield Fire Company handled a total of 16 incidents throughout the day, most of them due to an electrical power surge that occured in the 200 and 300 Block of Gleaves Road around 1830 hours. Firefighters checked houses along Gleaves Road with thermal imaging cameras to detect any evidence of electrical fires caused by the surge. Firefighters also assisted at Harlee Manor Nursing Home with a power outage that occured during the surge.
