Springfield Firefighters responded on ten different emergencies in a 24 hour period.  The emergencies ranged from Natural Gas Leaks, Wires Down, Assisting EMS crews, and two Building Fires.

Springfield Firefighters maintained stand by crews at Station 44 during the snow storm, beginning Wednesday morning and lasting thru Thursday afternoon.

Springfield Fire Company would like to remind residents to help clear hydrants in your neighborhoods of snow.  The few minutes that it takes to clear the hydrant of snow could help protect and save your family, neighbors and/or property in the event of an emregency.
