Chimney Fire on Bennett Road

The Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Saturday, January 21st, at 2250 hours for the report of a house fire in the 300 block of Bennett Road.Upon arrival of Springfield PD, smoke was showing from the chimney of a residence. Engine 44-1 arrived on location and confirmed a small fire inside the chimney at the residence. Firefighters from 44-1 and Tower 44 worked to extinguish the fire and checked for any fire extension around the chimney.
Units operating on scene: Springfield 44-1, Tower 44 and Rescue 44, RIT 20 Garrettford Drexel Hill, Ambulance 44-7 and Medic 106.
