MVA with Entrapment on Route 1

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Wednesday, January 4th, at 1915 hours to South State Road (Route 1) and Collins Drive for a Motor Vehicle Accident.  Chief 44-9A arrived on location to find a two vehicle accident with two victums confined inside one of the vehicles.

Chief 44-9A had the assignment upgraded to a Motor Vehicle Accident with Entrapmentl.  Rescue personnel from Squad 44 stabilized the vehicle and went into service with Holmatro rescue tools to remove the  driver's side door to extricate the two victums.  EMS personnel from Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital), Ambulance 44-7 and 44-7A evaluated the occupants of the vehicle and the transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center.

Units operating on the scene were:  Squad 44, Rescue 44, Ambulance 44-7, 44-7A, Medic 106, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
